Privacy Notice
Last updated:
Finding Remo is a private vacation rental home on Big Pine Key in the Florida Keys. In this notice, “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Finding Remo. We keep things simple: the inquiry form works through your own email app, we measure visits in aggregate with Google Analytics, and we never sell your information. Here are the details.
Inquiries
The inquiry form doesn’t save your details on this website or send them to us. Pressing “Send Inquiry” opens a pre-filled email in your own email app, and your details reach us only when you send that email. We use what you email us, such as your name, email address, travel dates, and message, only to reply to you and to arrange your stay.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to see how the site is used overall: how many people visit, how they found us, their general location (such as city or country), and the kind of device and browser they use. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser so it can tell new visits from returning ones. We look at the results as totals and trends, not to identify anyone.
We’ve also set it up to count a few actions on the page:
- clicks on links to Airbnb, VRBO, and other outside sites
- clicks on links to the booking section
- photo gallery views and filters
- moving through the availability calendar
- how far down the page you scroll
- pressing “Send Inquiry”
When you press “Send Inquiry,” Google Analytics receives only the check-in date, check-out date, and number of guests you chose. It never receives your name, email address, or message.
To learn more, see how Google uses information from sites that use its services. To stop Google Analytics from measuring your visits, install Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site works the same without them.
Maps, fonts, and hosting
The site’s typefaces load from Google Fonts, the map on our home page is an embedded Google Map, and the site is hosted on Google’s Firebase Hosting. As with any web page, your browser shares basic technical details, such as your IP address and browser type, with the servers it loads content from, so Google receives them. The map may also set Google’s own cookies when it loads. The Google Privacy Policy explains how Google handles this information.
Availability calendar
The availability calendar is built from our Airbnb and VRBO calendar feeds, which our server fetches directly from those platforms. Showing it uses no information about you, and the only thing it stores is the list of booked dates.
Booking on Airbnb or VRBO
If you follow our links to Airbnb or VRBO, or book through either one, that company handles your information under its own privacy policy, not this one.
We don’t sell your information
We never sell or rent your personal information, and we don’t share it with anyone except as needed to arrange your stay.
Changes to this notice
If we change how this site handles information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
